Alleviate Phobias 

Afraid of flying, rats, birds, spiders, heights, dentists, to name but a few? Or afraid of open spaces, or social situations? 
You may have a phobia! 
A phobia is an overwhelming and debilitating fear of an object, place, situation, feeling or animal and can lead to an exaggerated, unrealistic sense of danger. When you have a phobia, this can be very distressing, it may lead to you organise your daily life around this fear and even avoid certain places or situations. (For example agoraphobia or social phobia) 
On the other hand, you may not have symptoms until you encounter your phobia, for example: birds, spiders or motorway driving. However, it may be that even thinking about your phobia brings on distressing symptoms that are difficult to manage, for example: sweating, breathlessness, shaking, dizziness or stomach disturbances. 
Unfortunately, continually trying to avoid the phobia will only make it worse. The good news is that here at Janie Toynton Hypnotherapy, I can help you overcome your phobia and help you to live your life in the way that you want to. 
Usually for a specific phobia only 4 sessions of SFH are required, during which we use the very safe and effective rewind and reframe technique, through deeply relaxing hypnotherapy. With the SFH approach, you don’t have to face the fear of holding a spider, or climbing a tower during therapy: instead, we alleviate your fear through powerful suggestions during trance and introduce new appropriate response patterns to your mind. You will always feel safe, calm and relaxed. 
Non-specific phobias, for example, social phobia, agoraphobia or emetophobia, (fear of vomiting), tend to be more embedded in a person’s life, so can take a little longer resolve, usually in 8-10 session.
